Trading in Diablo 2 has always been a risky proposition, as other players have shown a surprising cleverness in stealing items over the years. Unfortunately, it's clearly not an easy process, as at least one major bug/exploit has been discovered. For example, using the controller to drag gear into place. Since Vicarious Visions is dedicating itself to authentically recreating Diablo 2, that means some actions are going to be clunky. Diablo 2 was originally designed for the PC, so developer Vicarious Visions is having to do its best to adapt the ARPG to console controls. Unfortunately, the properties are generated randomly, so there's no guarantee that the imbued item will be better for the character, but waiting for a higher level gives a better chance of this.Diablo 2 will soon be coming to consoles for the very first time via the Diablo 2: Resurrected remake. Class items are specific to the type of character and indicate in the description which class they're for. If players choose to imbue items early, it's best to do it with a class item. It's safest to wait until the character is at a high level or has reached their maximum level. Knowing when to use the imbue ability can be tricky. This is only available once per difficulty, but the ability to imbue can be saved for as long as the player wants. It's possible to finish Act 1 without completing the " Tools of the Trade" quest, so players should be sure to speak to Charsi and explore the Monastery Barracks thoroughly. Once the hammer is returned to Charsi, she will give players the opportunity to imbue one item. Defeat this Super Unique enemy to claim Charsi's Horadric Malus. Head into the Monastery Barracks from the Outer Cloister, then search the area to find the Smith. After reaching the Monastery Gates, players can speak to Charsi to obtain the " Tools of the Trade" quest.
